CELEBRATING 90 YEARS

Welcome to St.Brigid's Boxing Club in Edenderry

The club was established in September 1933 by a group including a banker, solicitor, principal and member of An Garda Siochana. Set up to serve the children of Edenderry and surrounding areas, the club has gone from strength to strength over the years.

UPCOMING EVENT

Celebrating its 90th anniversary, St.Brigid's Boxing Club will run an International Female Round Robin Tournament on 1st-3rd December.

Over 70 female boxers from the Netherlands, Italy, England, France, Denmark, Lithuania, and Ireland will take part.

INTERNATIONAL CAMPS

Individual and team sparring camps available

All Female Boxing camps 365

These camps have now become famous the world over. The Annual Summer Camp attracts over 200 boxers from over 25 countries from Novice Level right up to Olympic & World Championship Level. Sparring takes place in eight rings every day for one full week. Many of the top National teams used this camp to prepare for International Competitions.

Mary Kom, India's six times World Champion quoted: "An Amazing Experience - I Will be Back".

The Camp runs all year round for individual teams and for individual boxers who come to live, train and spar on-site under the guidance of AIBA 3-Star Coach Liam Morley Brereton.

On site accommodation is available and this helps make the camps very cost effective for all .

Our Community

Edenderry BC is proud to have seen County Champions,Provincial Champions, National Champions at all levels Elite Champions, European and World Medalist, Youth Olympian and Olympian emerge from its ranks. The Club is apart of Edenderry and it history at some stage every family in the town would of had a connection with the club. 2012 Change the Clubs direction with first female boxers, the club is now one of the leading female boxing clubs in the world. The club runs the world’s largest female sparring camp with it came the title of the Home of Female Boxing Worldwide.
